Development of Forest Management Units (FMU) has become a commitment of the government and the parties, which are directed through PP. No. 6 of 2007 jo. PP No. 3 of 2008, which was guarded through implementation of forestry development priorities by prioritizing FMU development, which aims to save the public functions of forests and become the basis of sustainable forest management. FMU is a forest management area in accordance with its main function and designation which is managed efficiently and sustainably. In implementing this system, the entire forest area will be divided into KPH areas, and will be part of strengthening the national, provincial, district / city forest management system. KPHs include Conservation KPHs (KPHK), Protected KPHs (KPHL), Production KPHs (KPHP), which in one FMU area can consist of more than one main function of the forest, and the naming is based on the function of a forest whose area is dominant. , according to the direction of management as Decree of the Minister of Forestry Number SK. 79 / Menhut-II / 2010, the KPH area in Central Sulawesi Province was ± 3,199.08 ha, consisting of 21 KPH units, including 5 units of KPHL covering ± 717,427 ha, and KPHP of 16 units covering ± 2,481,659 ha. Until October 2014, the development of the FMU development above can be seen from the formation of eight FMU organizations which are the managing institutions of nine FMU units, of which there is one FMU organization that manages two FMU units. This organization is in the form of a Regional Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) at the provincial and district level. Dolago Tanggunung KPHP (Units VI & IX) with a total forest area of 144,350 Ha, which is located in Donggala and Parigi Moutong Districts, was established on December 26, 2012. 4. Pogogul KPHP (Unit I) with a forest area of 199,533 Ha, which contained in the region of Buol Regency, set on December 26, 2012.5. Balantak KPHP (Unit XX) with a forest area of 117,400 Ha, which is located in the Banggai Regency, was set on December 26, 2012.6. KPHP Toili Baturube (Unit XIX) with a forest area of 276,636 Ha, which is located in the Banggai Regency and North Morowali Regency, was determined on December 27, 2013.7. Tojo Unauna KPHP (Unit XVII) with a forest area of 112,492 Ha, which is within the territory of Tojo Unauna Regency, was set on December 27, 2013.8. Banawa Lalundu KPHP (Unit VII) with a forest area of 109,132 Ha, which is in the Poso Regency area, was set on August 8, 2014.
